Calming, gentle marimba music.

I used a particularly warm set of mallets for this recording (LHS 5s and 10s, made by Malletech) that eliminate most contact sound and enhance the natural resonance of the mid to low range of the instrument, especially under 800 Hz. I also mixed it in such a way as to bring out the "hum" of that range of the instrument. You may find on laptops, phones, and other small devices that the sound overwhelms the capability of the speakers. In that case I recommend turning the volume down very low. This music is meant to be quieting anyway, so the effect will be better then. Or, you may enjoy these pieces on high-quality headphones, which will also give you the opportunity to hear the subtle processing drifting in the background, adding another dimension to the listening experience.
