My friend Billy Martin got me into bamboo. It is truly a remarkable plant; it grows fast, it's strong, and has wonderful musical qualities. For this recording I integrated bamboo into the instrument, with various preparations and placements. The result was amazing. I've never heard the marimba in this light, enhanced with another kind of wood. Rosewood and bamboo, hand in hand, on a journey of sonic explorations.

This recording is dedicated to Billy with much love and respect.
